My Story

My start in the design and advertising industry began at a small agency located outside of Chicago in Joliet, Illinois. While still attending the University of Saint Francis, I was brought on as the company’s first intern. At this time the company consisted of a mere four person staff. Throughout the next 14 years with the company, I would be a part of the exciting growth and change as we continued to add clients and eventually grow to over 50 employees. This growth included one name change, two owners, three states, and a dozen different office locations.

My hard work, loyalty, and dedication paid off with several promotions including that to Creative Director where my typical day consisted of overseeing and managing workflow, proofing and critiquing all jobs, as well as exercising my creativity designing my fair share of the day’s work load. As a Creative Director, I take pride in not only completing my own design tasks but also managing, coaching and mentoring the next generation of designers.

A few years ago I decided it was time to start a family and have been freelancing for myself as well as being a full-time mom. So I am lucky to have learned and experienced what I like to call a hybrid skill set.

My abilities as a designer covers everything from logo design to entire branding campaigns. Through a multitude of promotional principles and applications I have been able to successfully create images and communicate ideas for various channels of advertising and a diverse group of clients from small organizations and events with simple messages to large organizations and events with complex visions.
